At a recent election of the Taunton Retirement Board held on November 10, 2020, incumbent board member Dennis M. Smith won re-election to the five-member board with a total of 530 votes.  His two challengers were Zachary Sousa (Light Plant engineer) with 168 votes and Richard J. The Taunton Retirement Board has approved a 3% COLA effective July 1, 2020 for all eligible retirees and survivors of the system who retired on or before June 30, 2019.  At its March 25th 2020 board meeting, member Thomas A. Please Note:  The City of Taunton has approved a health insurance premium holiday.  Therefore eligible retirees & survivors under the HMO or PPO plan will have their premiums adjusted over the next couple of months to recover the refund due.  If you are eligible for a refund, your health premium will be adjusted to ZERO for the month of May.  Then there will be a further adjustment in the month of June to complete the refund.  Starting in July, you will revert...
