Open Enrollment will be begin for all employees and retirees who are under 65 who are eligible for health insurance on February 28, 2022 and end on March 31, 2022.  Retirees who are over 65+ are able to enroll in the Retiree Basic Dental Plan only.  Anyone currently enrolled in our MEDEX group cannot change his/her medical coverage during open enrollment.

The Taunton Retirement Board has approved a 3% COLA effective July 1, 2022 for all eligible retirees and survivors of the system who retired on or before June 30, 2021.  At its Jan. 26, 2022 board meeting, member Gill E. Enos made the motion to approve, seconded by member Barry J. The Board recently conducted an application process for the 5th member board position a.k.a. “board appointee”.  As of the application deadline on 01/18/2021, there was only one applicant – incumbent Barry J. At a recent election of the Taunton Retirement Board held on November 10, 2020, incumbent board member Dennis M. Smith won re-election to the five-member board with a total of 530 votes.  His two challengers were Zachary Sousa (Light Plant engineer) with 168 votes and Richard J.
