The Taunton Retirement Board has appointed Bristol County Registrar of Deeds Barry J. Amaral as the new board appointee to the retirement board. Mr. Amaral replaced long-time appointee A. Joan Ventura who served on the board since 1996. The Board was appreciative of Ms. Ventura's service and was happy to welcome Mr. Amaral. Amaral stated "I am very gratified of the confidence placed in me by the board and look forward to working with them to manage the city's pension plan." Mr. Amaral's term is effective February 25, 2015 thru February 24, 2018.
